Maybe you know the difference between an IPA and Pilsner or maybe you just enjoy sampling a variety of beer. Either way, you’ll love our Craft Beer and Brewery Tour.
We’ve got a variety of fantastic microbreweries right here in the Fox Cities and throughout Northeast Wisconsin. From established brewpubs like Stone Arch to up-and-coming breweries like Mc Fleshman’s, you’ll be sure to find a craft beer for any pallette. And, some feature on-site restaurants because we all know you need some cheese curds with your beer.
Based on your tasting preferences, we can help you identify 3 to 4 Northeast Wisconsin Breweries for you and your group to tour and sample beer flights. You’ll get to interact with Brew Masters and experts who will educate, entertain, and delight. Our Craft Beer and Brewery tour is an experience unlike any other.
Where should we go? It’s a question we get a lot and we almost never choose the same 3 places. The Fox Cities is fortunate to have 6 Craft Breweries and if you include Oshkosh and Green Bay we’re at nearly 20. Not only are there options aplenty, but the beer at our backyard breweries is really fantastic.
Here are some of our favorite breweries:
Mc Fleshman’s (Appleton)
Take a visit into the past at McFleshmans in their English-pub style taproom or outside on their German-themed beer garden. Specializing in traditional German lagers and English Real Ales with a sprinkling of California styles. Dogs/families/carry-in food/delivery food welcome!
Appleton Beer Factory
Appleton Beer Factory was built to immerse patrons in beer culture & display the brewing process. ABF beers are crafted to deliver taste and balance. They achieve this balance from passionate experimentation using a variety of processes and ingredients and often collaborate with Mc Fleshman’s on their brews.
ABF is both a great brewery and a great restaurant so bring your appetite. And, you won’t have to walk far from Mc Fleshman’s as they are just less than 200 yards apart.
Lions Tail Brewing Co. (Neenah)
A micro craft brewery located in Downtown Neenah on Commercial Street and is located in a historical bank building. LTB really pushes the limit on craft beer which ranges from double IPA to milkshake Plae Ales to the traditional Ocktoberfest and they recently added some seltzers to their menu. Lions Tale does not have a restaurant on-site or an outside patio. However, it’s a great year-round stop and a must for those who want to try something new and outside of the box.
Bare Bones (Oshkosh)
Located on the west side of Oshkosh, Bare Bones has a great taproom with a solid variety of beer. Their beers are more streamlined. However the quality and taste is what make this a Wisco Wheeler fan favorite. What we like is that their staff is more engaged and they take time to educate and inform their patrons. Obviously, we’re a fan of any company that puts their dogs in their logo and makes their facility dog friendly.
Fifth Ward Brewing (Oshkosh)
A new and unique craft brewery located right in the heart of Downtown Oshkosh. The company was founded by a couple of UWO graduates who wanted to venture outside the norm of basic beer. These guys brewery take pride in crafting a wide variety of beers using unique recipes and ingredients.
Like most local breweries, they have something for everyone. However, they do not have a restaurant on site. However, they do have a spacious outdoor patio spot.
Badger State Brewing Company (Green Bay)
They truly have something for everyone. On-site is a modern and beer-centric Tap Room with near two dozen Wisconsin-brewed beers on tap. Their offerings span from light beer to stouts and include some hard seltzer and hard cider options.
This is easily one of the largest breweries in our region. Their new facility is modern and spacious with an incredible outdoor patio. They host a variety of events include Packer tailgating events. A can’t miss on our tours.
